Brig Gen RO Sackey (rtd) has lauded personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) for their satisfactory performance at this year’s Army Headquarters West African Soldiers Social Activities (WASSA) at Burma Camp on Friday, 22 December, 2017.
He stated that there has been an improvement in the over-all performance during the period and added that this sterling performance guaranteed a stable national environment which created a friendly atmosphere for national peace and development. He also appreciated the military for enhancing a mutual relation with their civilian counterparts.
He further urged all to consciously work to raise the standard of operation.
The Chief Staff Officer (CSO) Brig Gen Abraham Nsiah Yeboah who delivered a speech on behalf of the Chief of the Army Staff, Maj Gen A Ayamdo stated that the Army had played its constitutionally mandated roles of supporting the civil authority in the maintenance of law and order in the country.
He commended personnel for raising the Flag of Ghana high and said “we salute the professionalism and commitment of both contingents and individual staff officers who represented the Army and country in the service of the United Nations and we commend them for a job well done.”
The opportunity was also used to honour Mr Kwasi Ambrose and Miss Sheila Abbay as the best Male and Female Civilian Employees respectively
